Colorful autumn program for every weather!
26.10.2021, 5 p.m.: Of villages, dachshunds and roofs – The Olympic site between triumph and tragedy
Before it gets really cold, I'd like to take you on a walk through the Olympic grounds. On the way to the potential World Heritage site, it presents itself at its most colorful in autumn. Even though the second half of the tour will likely sink into October twilight, the timeless architectural wonders, at least partially illuminated from within, will shine in their evening splendor.
Guided tours on the topic of National Socialism
Normally, I offer my guided tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial in November, and I've received many inquiries from you about it. However, all buildings on the former concentration camp site remain closed for group tours due to the coronavirus pandemic, so I can't in good conscience offer this tour at the moment – first, many impressions would be lost, and second, it can get uncomfortably cold without the opportunity to warm up in one of the indoor spaces. Therefore, I've been inspired to create a very special autumn program that will serve as a substitute for anyone interested in this particular topic… at least until unrestricted visits to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial are possible again:
28.10.2021, 18:30: Munich – Capital of the movement – the city in National Socialism
On the route between the Old Town and Königsplatz, we will talk about the rise of the National Socialists in our city, see places historically burdened with this dark part of Munich's history, and clarify how Munich is dealing with this legacy today.
10.11.2021, 19:15: On the straight path – Munich in resistance
Between Odeonsplatz and the university district, we'll meet a variety of lesser-known protagonists of the resistance movement against the Nazi regime. The tour ends at 9:20 p.m. with the illuminated installation "November 8, 1939" at Georg-Elser-Platz.
02.11.2021, 12:30: Munich in National Socialism for pupils and young people – of course accompanied by their parents
This guided tour during the autumn holidays is specifically tailored to the younger age group and deals with the rise of National Socialism as well as the question of how courageous people at that time stood up against the unjust regime.
Too heavy fare? For all grandmas, uncles and aunts as well as parents with small children, my family tour will be available again during the autumn holidays.
02.11.2021, 16:00: Munich is ape-strong! – an animal-led tour through the old town
Discover Munich's most beautiful places through your children's eyes! It's incredible what creatures are hidden among all the sights; you just have to find them!
You can register for all of these tours directly with me. Tours require a minimum of 8 participants. Cost for adults: 15 euros; for children and young people: 10 euros.
