Tour overview:

FOR FAMILIES
WITH CHILDREN

I'd be happy to take you with me!

From my own experience with two daughters, I know very well how difficult it can be to get children excited about a city tour. And I'm all the more pleased when, after a trip, we look through our vacation photos together and the children enthusiastically talk about all the fascinating details they remember from the city tours. Then I know for sure – the local guide did a really good job! While there are plenty of information boards in Munich, they can be quite exhausting, especially for the younger generation! So why not take a family tour and explore the city in a fun and exciting way?

Professionally prepared for you!

The art of leading a family lies primarily in having something suitable for everyone in the program and in presenting the information in a way that is easy to understand and child-friendly for the adults. Furthermore, there is always something to do on my tours: something to search for, something to explore, something to draw, so that there is enough time to also address the interests of the adults, whether it be history, architecture, art, or (beer) culture. Of course, we never stay in one place for too long and take short breaks every now and then – ideally with a pretzel in hand, of course! It is always important to me that the little ones also have "talk time" and can share their thoughts about the city.
If you're traveling with older children, Munich is a perfect place to walk through history lessons. In my experience, for this age group, the discussion of the resistance against National Socialism plays a particularly important role. The youngsters especially enjoy participating in discussions about the members of the "White Rose," who were active in Munich. Despite everything, there's still plenty of fun to be had, of course, and we'll definitely stop by to see the Eisbach surfers!

It all depends on your group!

My family tours are interesting not only for out-of-town guests, but also for Munich residents! Whether you're traveling with grandparents or with family friends, whether your aunt is visiting, or you're celebrating a child's birthday – I'm happy to accommodate your group's wishes. You'll be surprised by all the things you can discover in Munich when you see the city through the curious eyes of children!

"We have participated in several tours with Ms. Ranft. Our children (8 and 12 years old) were particularly impressed by the Munich Kindl tour. The children were familiar with some of the content from their fourth-grade local history and social studies classes, so they were able to contribute frequently. The tour is enlivened with small puzzle games and tasks for the children to complete. This made it very varied and entertaining for the children.
Ms. Ranft's narration is very apt and clear, making it a real pleasure to listen. All in all, a fantastic tour for the whole family."
