Tour overview:

Für Schulklassen Und Studenten

I'd be happy to take you with me!

I know it's not always easy to get students to join a city tour, but I now enjoy the challenge! I fondly remember many varied and entertaining tours with school classes of all ages, and above all, countless conversations with individual students or with the entire class. It's important to me that a city tour isn't a one-way street, but rather that there's always enough time to ask questions and discuss different aspects of the tour.

By the way, I'm also happy to supervise your international exchange students. I myself studied and worked abroad for a long time, so I was able to not only improve my English, but I also particularly enjoy interacting with international guests.

Professionally prepared for you!

It all depends on your group!

When giving city tours to schoolchildren, you should always know who you are dealing with! Local primary school children are interested in Munich's History of the city's founding and all the exciting anecdotes that go with it. Animals and knights are always in high demand here. For classes from the surrounding area or the rest of Germany, it is important that the students get a good overview of the city and know how other possible activities during their stay in Munich fit into this history, be it a trip to the Deutsches Museum or the Olympic Park. At the latest when the young people in class are introduced to the History of National Socialism If you want to come into contact with this topic, you should devote sufficient time to this aspect of Munich's city history. A tour on the topic of "Munich – Capital of the Movement" is an ideal preparation for a visit to the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial. A tour on the topic of "Resistance" is also very interesting for young adults, especially in light of current changes in the world and in our society. I certainly adapt every tour to the students' level of knowledge. If I have students in front of me, I can certainly assume more in-depth knowledge and structure my tour accordingly.

There are many different ways to inspire students and pupils about our city's history. It's best to discuss in advance which one best suits your group.

"Excursions to Munich with school classes, accompanied and supervised by Grit Ranft, are days full of discoveries and new insights into the history and present of Bavaria and Germany. She is particularly able to convey the Nazi era to the students in a knowledgeable, detailed, and varied way, full of stories and emotions.
In addition, facilities and institutions of contemporary remembrance culture are visited and linked to current events.
