Description:
We use them every day: proverbs and sayings that have quietly and secretly crept into our vocabulary. But where do these wordplays come from, and what do they actually mean? Because some of them seem a little strange to us, don't they? Together, we'll delve into the city's history and find out where the real trouble is in the old town. Of course, I won't mince words. So, come along, and let's let loose together! Because you certainly don't want to miss out on this enjoyable city tour!
Even though I can't take you on my usual Munich city tours right now, you don't have to miss out on this enjoyable stroll through our old town. Together, we'll explore the often medieval roots of our sayings via Zoom. Thanks to my richly illustrated PowerPoint presentation, we'll get a closer look at places we usually just rush past. So, even during the coronavirus-related restrictions, it's a great opportunity to take a trip into the city center, where you can learn a lot about the origins of our language.
The Middle Ages alone, when battles were still fought like knights and opponents rode high on horseback, peppered our communication with figurative expressions that we use today quite naturally, without even thinking about them. But more modern and current ideas are also on the agenda; otherwise, this tour would be old hat! Look forward to many aha moments that, for once, have nothing to do with coronavirus and are best enjoyed with friends, colleagues, family, choir members and bowling buddies, or guests at a family celebration – even virtually at home on your computer! How does a virtual city tour work?
I'd be happy to present my tour using the Zoom meeting software, which you can use free of charge. Or we can work with your company's standard conference system, which you can use to connect me to your system. The only option I should have is to share my presentation via your software. So, it's actually quite simple. Upon request, I'd be happy to send you more detailed instructions.
The most important things in brief:
Meeting point:
at your event or virtual meeting on the Internet
Duration:
according to your wishes and how it best suits your event. However, you should definitely plan for 45 minutes.

"On behalf of my entire team, I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Ranft for the fantastic tour of Munich. Everyone had a great time, received only positive feedback, and it perfectly livened up our virtual Christmas party.“
Siegfried Brandl, Feedback from a private Christmas party of a Bavarian automobile manufacturer; December 2021
