The way to Munich is through the stomach!

Culinary tour through the old town

Impressions

Description:

May I whet your appetite for my city with this culinary tour?

Unlike the culinary tour at the Viktualienmarkt, here we expand our radius and explore larger parts of the city center. Along the way, you'll not only learn interesting facts about the famous sights, but also discover traditional specialty shops and quaint taverns.

And while you enjoy some delicious treats, I'd be happy to reveal the little secrets that make not only Munich's specialties but also our culinary traditions so special – varied, exciting and above all, delicious.

„"Dear Grit,
The entire EverReal team was thrilled with your incredibly varied, interactive, and above all, culinary city tour. There was something for everyone, whether we were locals or colleagues from abroad; everyone got their money's worth, and in the end, we were all very impressed. As a true Munich native, I was very impressed by your extensive knowledge of Munich and the many charming anecdotes you shared. A huge thank you from all of us!“

My tips for before and after our tour:

This tour can easily be incorporated into a perfect day in Munich, ideally when you're feeling hungry!

Afterwards, simply continue your stroll through the old town. Or relax in the Hofgarten, where you can sit on a bench and watch the laid-back atmosphere of Munich drift by. And for those who would like to add a bit of culture to their walk, simply stroll to the nearby... art district, where both the three Pinakotheken, the Lenbachhaus, the Glyptothek or the Egyptian Museum awaits your visit.

For those who would like to work off the excess calories, I recommend a run in the Olympic Park, where it is particularly good to jog between hills and roofs.

Frequently asked questions:

Will you also learn something about Munich's city history during this tour?

You wouldn't believe how much of our city's history is intertwined with pretzels and white sausage, and even more so with beer! Of course, there's also plenty to learn about churches, palaces, townhouses, and squares, all of which lie along our route. However, the focus of this tour is on culinary delights. You're welcome to combine this tour with a regular historical city tour. Just get in touch, and we can plan a tour tailored to your needs.

Is the Viktualienmarkt also open on Sundays?

Almost all stalls are closed on Sundays. However, the beer garden opens on Sundays when the weather is nice, so you can sit comfortably there. Otherwise, there's something going on from early morning until late at night.

Can I book the culinary tour even if I have a small budget for food?

Of course! Because it's the little things that taste the best. And after all, nothing beats a crispy pretzel or a Leberkässe sandwich! I'm happy to plan just two or three small tasting stops, which will still liven up a tour of Munich and make it a sociable experience for your group.
