Now it's official...
After much deliberation, I've decided to bring the Auer Maidult to your homes this year! After all, we had to miss out on the opening of the fair season in Munich last year, so my virtual fair tour might at least be a small substitute!
What is my virtual tour about?
Who doesn't miss it – the traditional Maidult, with its crowds, anticipation of spring, and simply everything that has been part of this popular market for centuries? But because the Dult is always a cult, we'll embark on a richly illustrated and diverse online walk through Mariahilfplatz. There, we'll delve into the origins of the festival and trace its history back to the Middle Ages. To learn more about the special features, we'll make a virtual stop at a few vendors and get an overview of their offerings. After all, it's the stall owners, dealers, and showmen who create the Dult's unmistakable charm! After a digital visit to the neo-Gothic Mariahilf Church, we'll conclude our online tour in the showmen's area, where perhaps even a few childhood memories will reawaken...
When and where?
In cooperation with Munich Tourism, I offer the online walk on the following days:
29.04. at 7 pm and 01.05. at 6 pm. You can book the tours directly via muenchen.travel book.
