Virtual city tours in Munich

New opportunities even after Corona – Munich from the comfort of your sofa

The coronavirus pandemic has changed our world, including the opportunities to experience a city. So, if you—for whatever reason—can't come to Munich in person, you don't have to miss out on enjoyable tours of our city. With a mix of richly illustrated presentations and entertaining live lectures, I'll bring any topic to your living room or online conference. I'm also happy to add a little interactivity, whether with quizzes, surveys, or short discussions, to ensure you don't get bored while sitting in front of your computer.

The virtual city tour as a digital community experience

You don't have to miss out on a communal experience during your meeting in the digital space. You can experience a virtual city tour together during your conference and then discuss your experiences together afterward. You're sure to relive some shared memories, so you'll never run out of things to talk about. I'd be happy to enhance your online class reunion with one of my guided tours.

Tailor-made for your event

Online conferences are also becoming increasingly important for your company. If you're looking for a change, I'd be happy to advise you. Why not liven up your conference with a virtual city tour? Munich, with its fascinating economic history, offers many opportunities for networking. But don't forget to include the pubs, Oktoberfest, and, of course, the topic of beer!

How does my virtual city tour work?

I'd be happy to present my tour using the Zoom meeting software, which you can use free of charge. Or we can work with your company's standard conference system, which you can use to connect me to your meeting. The only option I should have is to share my presentation via your software. So, it's actually quite simple. Upon request, I'd be happy to send you more detailed instructions.

Siegfried Brandl, Feedback from a private Christmas party of a Bavarian automobile manufacturer; December 2021

"Thank you so much for this truly well-prepared digital city tour. I never would have imagined it would be so much fun in a purely virtual setting! A thoroughly successful excursion into the city's history that leaves me wanting more. And please keep up your enthusiasm for what you do!"

Participants in a seminar on urban history as part of the HSU lessons in the 4th grade, March 2021

"For one of my digital conferences, I was looking for a virtual Oktoberfest tour. Grit Ranft immediately embraced this unique challenge, perfectly adapting to the technology and the virtual world. With her charming manner and stimulating questions, she knew how to interactively engage our customers and maintain the excitement. The photos of the Wiesn also made the tour entertaining and vividly visualized it – almost as if you were actually there! Grit Ranft is highly recommended – not only in the real world, but also in the virtual world.

Helga Herböck, Managing Director of Bivista GmbH, Erding; September 2020

"Dear Grit, Thank you so much for the fantastic, interactive, and very informative virtual city tour of Munich. It was a complete success for the volunteers and us, with exciting insights and the perfect preparation for UEFA EURO 2020. Thank you for all the little stories and anecdotes and for your effort in answering each question individually.
You have awakened our anticipation of a great time in the Bavarian capital and, even in these times, managed to evoke the feelings and emotions that those of us associate with Munich and football. Thank you for this unique event.

Your Volunteer Team Munich consisting of Corinna, Felix, Tom & Paulina, Spring 2021

"The online tour for our teacher trainees was not only highly informative, but also participant-oriented, very vivid, and engaging. Highly recommended.

Dr. Helga Rolletschek, Head of seminar work in the Munich City seminar district, January 2021

"The virtual lecture with Ms. Ranft about Art Nouveau in Schwabing was truly fantastic! Very well-founded, very lively and vivid, with excellent articulation – WOW!!! Compliments!!! And thank you so much!

Petra W. from Munich, Participant about the VHS Oberschleißheim, February 2021

"Due to the current situation, we have changed the format of our annual NetApp Executive event, which includes a subsequent visit to the Oktoberfest, at short notice.

Grit Ranft provided us with highly professional support through an interactive Oktoberfest program. Even seasoned Oktoberfest visitors were extremely impressed by Grit's interesting and imaginative anecdotes about the world's largest folk festival. Our customers' feedback was consistently positive, and we look forward to hopefully seeing them again in person at the 2021 Oktoberfest.

Hermann Wedlich, Manager Business Development Strategic Partner Alliances /AI @ NetApp Deutschland GmbH

"The virtual tour with Grit was wonderful. I highly recommend everyone to take this Christmas walk with her. Who would have thought a year ago that a digital visit to the Christmas market would even be possible!"

Andrea Lehner,  Vice-President German-American Women's Club Munich eV, December 2020

"With Oktoberfest canceled for the second time, the AMICALE Munich of the European Patent Office decided to organize at least a Bavarian week as a small compensation for the Wiesn. One element was the virtual Wiesn tour with Ms. Ranft.

I'm a Munich native, and for us, the Oktoberfest is truly a family tradition and an integral part of the festivities. Yet, there was much I didn't know before, and which I will remember forever. Ms. Ranft made the tour interactive and entertaining with quiz questions (via chat and a Zoom survey). The presentation featured many beautiful images and interesting videos. Thank you so much, Ms. Ranft, for this informative and enjoyable evening!

Stefanie Most, Examiner Directorate at Amicale, the social network of the European Patent Office, September 2021
