The virtual city tour as training and preparation for the UEFA EURO 2020 volunteers
This year, football-wise, Munich as the venue With three preliminary round matches and a quarterfinal, there's still plenty going on. In collaboration with the City of Munich, I was able to train the volunteers for this event. They will be located at certain fan meeting points throughout the city this summer.
To give the volunteers an overview of our city, we took a richly illustrated online presentation through the city center, where we even got to explore what the official Munich logo of UEFA EURO 2020 has to do with Bavarian history. Of course, we also stopped off at a beer garden, watched the Eisbach surfers, climbed the Olympiaberg, and flew over the Allianz Arena.
The nearly 60 participants participated interactively and demonstrated their extensive knowledge of Munich by answering several quizzes. They were able to ask questions and exchange ideas via chat. My thanks go to Sina from DFB EURO GmbH, who guided me through the event and kept a close eye on the chat flow.
Now it's time to keep our fingers crossed so we can all experience a great European Football Championship in Munich! I'm really looking forward to it! You can find more information about the preparations and all the matches here. here.
