Virtual medieval walk for prospective primary school teachers
Since the coronavirus still has us firmly in its grip, we simply moved our continuing education on Munich's city history to a virtual setting. Thanks to Zoom meetings, we were able to exchange ideas about city walls, monasteries, dukes, bends, and everything else that's important for Munich elementary school students in grades 3 and 4.
Richly illustrated and interactive
We brought the story to life with numerous images, including historical ones, and explained at key "locations" how the students could remember the individual details. Surveys help me encourage participants to actively participate in the seminar—even if not everything is always deadly serious. I'm pleased that I can now pass on the experience I've gained over the years with groups on the street to my participants virtually, too.
Facts and legends
Even though the city's history can be brought to life, especially for young children, through legends and little stories, we have nevertheless taken a close look at the facts about more than 850 years of Munich – of course, not without pointing out where you can deepen your knowledge at any time, even in times of Corona!
Thank you for the lovely morning!
