Guided tour of the Schlachthofviertel district, including the new Volkstheater, Bahnwärter Thiel, Dreimühlenviertel and of course Alter Utting.

Join me for a stroll through a neighborhood where it's almost easy to forget that Munich's food supply is still provided for here today. But where Munich's first central slaughterhouse and cattle market was built nearly 150 years ago, the cityscape is changing so rapidly that it's hard to keep up. Experience with me the traces of the past and how the area presents itself today: vibrant and multifaceted in art, culture, and cuisine, as well as young and traditional, nestled between former container sites and a new Volkstheater (People's Theater). We'll then continue through the Dreimühlen district to the famous Ammersee steamer on the bridge, where you can peacefully cruise into the end of the workday!
