In the belly of the city
Tasty tour through the Viktualienmarkt
Impressions
Description:
Love goes through the stomach!
It's probably the same with the love for Munich, because strolling through the city with a pretzel in hand is twice as much fun! On this Viktualienmarkt tasting tour, our crispy traditional pastry is of course just as much a part of the experience as hearty fare from the Bavarian sausage kitchen, tasty Alpine pasture-raised cattle, spicy dishes from all over the world, sweets from sizzling pots of lard, and of course, healthy products from the Munich area.
And if you'd like to know where you can clearly taste that Munich is perhaps the northernmost city of Italy, even at the market, then come along! Let's enjoy ourselves amidst the colorful awnings and the typical green stalls.

My tips for before and after our tour:
This tour can easily be incorporated into a perfect day in Munich, ideally when you're feeling hungry!
Why not continue your stroll through the old town afterwards? Or relax afterwards in the... Beer garden, where you can enjoy Munich's cozy atmosphere from your bench and calmly observe the bustling activity at the market.
Furthermore, this is Beer and Oktoberfest Museum just a stone's throw away. And if you prefer something a little less traditional at the museum, then I recommend the... MUCA, our „Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art“, where, in addition to exciting temporary exhibitions, original works by Banksy can also be admired in the permanent exhibition.
Frequently asked questions:
Is the Viktualienmarkt also open on Sundays?
My daughter is a vegetarian. Does it still make sense for her to participate in this tour?
