“City Lights” – Tape Art Max Zorn

As many of you know, this winter I'm working for the MUCA (Museum of Modern Art), where I'm giving tours of the brilliant exhibition "City Lights" – Tape Art by Max Zorn in the bunker on Hotterstrasse. I really enjoy this work, because every guest is completely captivated by the young Dutchman's artwork. Against the backdrop of the former World War II shelter, his works, created exclusively with adhesive tape on light boxes, are spectacularly showcased.

Create works of art with simple tape?

The artist works solely with packing tape and a scalpel to create his images on illuminated light boxes. If you can't imagine it, then take a look hereWith precision and incredible imagination, Max Zorn creates visual worlds that captivate the viewer with their special light and moods.

A former high-rise bunker as a perfect backdrop

See for yourself how the former World War II bunker provides the perfect backdrop for this kind of art. With its thick walls, heavy doors, and what we might call a "rough" atmosphere, it perfectly showcases the artist's visual worlds.

A visit to the exhibition is only possible with a guided tour

Because the building has very specific regulations and the exhibition can only be visited as part of a guided tour, the slots offered by the MUCA Museum always fill up quickly. However, new dates were posted online this week, and anyone interested can book directly through the MUCA website. I'll be sharing the tours with my friend and colleague Susanna on March 18 and April 6, 13, and 28. A family tour will also be offered on April 6.
