About me

Although I'm not a native of Munich, I've been fascinated by this city for over 20 years now. I enjoy Munich in all its facets, including its culture, nature, and coziness, together with my husband and my two almost-grown daughters. I originally had a completely different career path in mind. As a business graduate with many years of professional experience as a controller in a large international corporation, it initially didn't look like I would ever turn my passion for travel, and especially city tourism, into a career.

But my studies and work took me to Dublin, London, and Stockholm, where I spent many years and where I discovered my adopted hometowns through countless city tours – always with the dream of working as a guide myself one day. That's why I'm still happy today that I was able to fulfill this dream in 2014 and train with the city of Munich to become an official tour guide. Since teaching more recent history is also very important to me, I also completed training to become a licensed guide at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial shortly thereafter.

Since then, I've always been delighted to share my passion for Munich with my guests, whether they're international tourist groups, school classes, culture-loving short-term vacationers, or curious locals. It's fascinating how the city reveals itself from a different perspective each time. That's why I particularly enjoy Themed tours and to examine Munich's old town for very specific aspects. Not only the city center, but also the individual district have their charm with all their lovely details, which I enjoy when preparing my tours and then like to pass on to my guests.

It's simply a joy to be able to work as a city guide in Munich! And I'm delighted when my guests confirm that they can feel this enthusiasm as participants in my tours. I look forward to seeing you!
