Terms and Conditions

In the following provisions, the client is understood to be the person ordering the tour and the contractor is understood to be your tour guide Grit Ranft.

1. Description of services

The service descriptions for each tour are included in the corresponding tour descriptions. I reserve the right to make changes due to special circumstances.

2. Fee

Generally, prices are subject to agreement.

Standard tours up to two hours EURO 180,-
Each additional hour EURO 40,-
All prices plus 19% VAT.

If a different fee has been agreed upon, this individual agreement shall prevail; reference is made to Section 305b of the German Civil Code (BGB) (priority of the individual agreement over the General Terms and Conditions).

If the group is late, the tour guide will wait 30 minutes at the agreed meeting point. If participants do not show up at the agreed time, the agreed fee will be charged.

If the client wishes to be picked up or finished outside of the Munich city area, other than the regular starting or ending point, the client will be charged additional transportation costs.

If the client requests breaks during the guided tour or tour, this will be at the expense of the agreed timeframe. Should this extend the total duration of the guided tour or tour, the above rates will apply per hour or part thereof.

Entrance fees are not included in the tour guide fees and must be paid on site.

3. Withdrawal by the contractor

If, for compelling reasons, another tour guide must be substituted for the agreed tour under the agreed conditions, the client will be consulted. Reference is made to the client's rights as set out in Section 309 No. 10b of the German Civil Code (BGB).
If the fulfillment of the contract is endangered, impaired, or impossible due to force majeure, the contractor may withdraw from the agreed service or cancel it without replacement. Any compensation to the client is expressly excluded.

4. Withdrawal by the client

Withdrawal from the contract (cancellation) must be made in writing.

If the client withdraws, the following costs will be charged:
Free cancellation of the order up to 2 weeks before the agreed date.
For order cancellations between 2 weeks and 3 working days before the agreed date, a cancellation fee of 50 % will be charged.
If an order is cancelled less than 3 working days (72 hours) before the agreed date, the full agreed fee will be charged.

The contractor reserves the right to invoice the client for the agreed and already provided services (e.g. tickets purchased in advance, etc.).

If the client fails to attend the booked service on the day of service or does not attend for reasons beyond the contractor's control, the full price agreed upon in the contract will be invoiced. This does not entitle the client to reschedule the tour at a later date.

If the tour is terminated prematurely at the client's request, the full, previously agreed fee is due. If the client does not participate in individual services after the tour has begun due to an early return or for other reasons beyond the contractor's control, they are not entitled to a refund or reduction of the agreed price.

The tours take place whatever the weather. If necessary, an alternative program for inclement weather can be arranged upon request.

5. Maximum group size

The group size for city tours is a maximum of 25 participants or depends on the official requirements (see hygiene concept)
If the maximum number of participants is exceeded, an additional tour guide will be required. This applies particularly to tours within enclosed buildings.

6. Copyright and other rights of the Contractor

Image and audio recordings of the contractor, as well as recordings and audio recordings of the tour content, are not permitted unless expressly permitted by the contractor. Images and teaching materials provided may not be reproduced in any way without the contractor's consent.

7. Liability

Participation in tours is at your own risk. The tour guide is exempt from any liability.

Your tour guide is protected by professional liability insurance and financial loss insurance through the Federal Association of Tour Guides in Germany (BVGD). Professional liability insurance is provided by Generali Versicherung AG, 81731 Munich. Detailed information on professional liability insurance can be found at www.bvgd.org.

No supervision is assumed for the participation of minors. This responsibility remains with the parents, legal guardians, or accompanying persons.

8. Hygiene concept

The hygiene concept is based on the current Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance:

  • Compliance with general hygiene rules
  • Maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters
  • Wearing a mouth and nose mask in all designated public and enclosed spaces
  • Recording of all participants by name and contact details
  • Group size in accordance with official regulations outdoors and indoors in accordance with the hygiene concepts of the respective location

9. Applicable law

Unless otherwise stipulated in these General Terms and Conditions or agreed in writing between the Client and the Contractor, the contractual relationship between the Client and the Contractor shall be governed exclusively by German law.

10. Severability Clause

The invalidity of individual provisions does not invalidate the entire contract. In such cases, the invalid provisions shall be replaced by the statutory provisions.
